Just wanted to post my apparent success for all the TCS owners out there. The issue was initially a TCS CNTRL light on and Limp Home Mode everytime I tried driving the car. The car would start and run totally fine while ideling but as soon as the engine went under load (i.e. drive away) LHM would kick in. This would also throw a 5 flash CEL for "throttle position sensor" The LHM was always corrected by a shut down and restart (CEL would remain). I was able to drive the car under very light throttle if I was lucky. I tried swapping saftey valves and cleaned the connections for both which had no immeadiate effect. Two days later I tried driving the car for the heck of it and to my suprise, NO LHM. Over the next two days I drove the car regularly and experianced intermitten LHM. One day I had the TCS CNTRL and the ABS warning lights come on on the highway but the car did not go into LHM... strange. Eventually on a day off last week, I bought some DI-Electric grease and thoroughly cleaned (w/ contact cleaner) and re-applied the di-electric grease to ALL the connections involved with the TCS and the ABS system including the ones for the ABS pump which are under the Battery box (must remove). Thanks to Derf and JimO for this suggestion as it seemed to have worked!
I haven't experianced LHM or any CEL lights since the cleaning which was last wednesday (one week)
I am however experiancing a hesitation still while on light throttle in 1st and 2nd gear at about 3k RPM (engine cold). When the engine has warmed up it seems to go away. Not sure if this is related but no LHM at least! *for now ;)
