,I see. I tested it a few moments ago: no problem on occasional WOT runs, but it surfaced after a few minutes of hard driving.
Cruising on the highway, I dropped into third and stepped on it. Everything was fine. Shifted through to fifth at WOT, no trouble. Did that a few more times and eventually, at full throttle, I'd only get base boost. Feathered the throttle a little and the needle touched the stripes. Feels like driving in the snow with generic tractor control - some sputtering, little throttle response, no usable power. I think those operate by opening the injectors less. My roommate's Toyota Solara V6 has that feature. Definitely an interesting way of managing torque.
The DI is good, plugs are new. I can's speak to the injectors or FPR, however. Pullng the W hose off the BPC (solenoid connected to the turbo?) seems like the easiest way to remove a variable, but that'll risk overboost, right? Or will fuel cutoff catch it?
