Yes a boring /old question. But it's time again.
Have had 'tiger paws' on this car, these actually worked OK.. but always felt like soft donuts.
Current set of Eagle rsa are worn (out).. Stuck decently but the ride was always harsher than I was fully happy with.
Was considering (Aren't we all) Conti DWS.. :-)
But after having 'handled' one I realised the sidewall is rubber glove thin and astonishingly soft. IMO it wouldn't take too many park by feel events (5 or 6!) before those are destroyed.
Unfortunate as it's quite an attractive cuz it's inexpensive tire.
Bridgestones? Cheaper 'stones, are in my experiences, not wonderful tires.
Priciest ones certainly are good.. but I'm erm..too Frugal for $250 /tire.. on this car.
MXV's, I've had a few sets, work decently.. but are at best fair value for price
Kuhmos attract due to their pricings. But are historically a 'B' product
Hankooks another imo 'off brand' are oddly popular, again due to being cheapish. But Curiously, come as OEM on a fair number of Cars including Volksies.. Who woulda thought?
Anybody have any experiences to share ?
Tires are always such a shot inna dark.. One never really fully realises what they've bought, until a couple of thousand miles later.
And Bottom Feeding genuinely increases the chances of buying Dogs :-)
