replace or rebuild: blower motor

Couple oif summers back I replaced my Heater core.. But the Near new Blower motor I had saved for this was somehow missing when I needed it.
So I polished up the comutator and cleaned up the 1/3rd life left brushes oild the bearings and stuck the Gizmo back together.
Today I noticed a wee clicking noise on initial fan spool up. Likely the end of at least one carbon brush.. Sigh.
Quandry now is: either yank the rascal out and refit fresh brushes (semi rebuild) Or simply Buy and fit a New Motor.
Advantage to new brushes is the bits are on hand (yes, I checked :-) and it's a get it over and done with job. No ordering and waiting for parts to be shipped etc. Plus It's Free :-)
Disadvantaqe is that there's always the possibility of a 'surprise lying in wait there. Also it will likely Not live as long as a fresh motor.. NO rebuild ever does. But then how realistic is it to believe that this car will still be around /in my hands in 14 years?
Decisions, decisions :-)
