Let me put in a plug here for carefully popping off the originals, using needle nose to straighten out the crimped-in hump part, then reusing them, crimping them with a pair of dikes, or with needle-nose vise grips.
I do this even when the new boots come with a brand new clamp as the new clamps don't always fit right.
I assume at this point RobT no longer has the remains of his original one but it's something to keep in mind. They don't rust and they don't seem to be bent so far that straightening and re-bending them risks breaking them.
And they don't need any kind of special tool to attach.
