Replacing the turbo shouldn't be that hard; you might have to remove the exhaust manifold to get it clear, but if the head gasket was just replaced then those bolts should be fresh and not rusted in place. I sure wouldn't want to attempt it in a carport when it's cold outside, but I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to that.
