you hit the nail on the head D, where do I call it enough. Frankly I've not much rust to speak of and if i had my way (time+money) I'd drop a new drivetrain in and call it a day! I can't get what saab provided with this generation 9000 in most new cars available today (great gas mileage, amazing power, best comfort, hauling capacity, etc).

I do have a parts car on hand and I was thinking of breaking that down first for practice if you will-good news is that had a recent HG job and I bet there are some new goodies in there if I needed in a pinch.

so far my PS has been sound, so if the parts car pump isnt newer and swappable, I'll most probably pass on that.
I've changed all the mounts but that was good thinking on your behalf.

If you kindly wouldn't mind didn't mind clarifying a couple of things you've said?

-A cam chain is different that a timing chain? I thought the one timing chain drove the cams??
I'm at a loss on the topic as I've not done this job yet.

-Are you of the mindset the Balance Chain Tensioner is similar to the timing chain tensioner with regards to longevity?
Meaning, it rarely wears out?
