Inner drivers were smaller for NA and LPT cars with manual transmissions; not sure if they made this distinction for automatic transmission cars. I swapped in a used 5-speed transmission from a LPT car into my FPT car and had to change the inner drivers (they bolt in) back to the larger ones.
I just got done changing an outer CV boot on my Audi (one job that is significantly easier on an Audi vs. a SAAB!!!) and the 12-year-old boot appeared identical to the new one - no size difference, no swelling.
