Good decision to replace with a used reservoir.
For less critical plastic breaks Loctite makes a "Plastics Bonding System" that costs a few bucks at my local Home Depot. It is like super glue for plastics that doesn't melt the surfaces. It has a 15 minute working time, sets in 25 minutes, fully cures in 24 hours and holds in temps up to 180F.
It doesn't solve every problem with broken plastic, but it is often good enough and easy to use. The only problem is the tube of glue tends to dry up after you have used it once.
