i was thinking of the same video which i d seen a few years back. I agree. Ergonomics and feel of the vehicle will vary according to taste but as far as safety goes i would certainly think that the 9-5 is an improved car over the 9000. Crumple zones redesigned (improved), air bags added, pillars thickened. Headlights are actually bright!
i love the 9000 i, drive one, i agree with hauling stuff it cant be beat, the drive feel is great - that rear beam axle certainly feels better (is it?) on the road. But mechanically speaking the 9-5 is a better car. Even at 300K my 9-5 had no engine oil leaks and i sometime think that the 9000 was leaking out of the factory....
