While driving at steady 60 mph, approx 2400 rpm and seeing the lights dim as the heater cycled on/off.
Haven't seen such voltage drops or dimming, unless the VR is on its way out. At least, on our past fleet of Saabs.
That said, this alternator hasn't been changed in 150,000+ miles. I am happy to change it now, rather than wait for further signs of distress, like the battery light coming on while far from home on a very cold January night.
