If you can locate the wires to the blower I would probably just hot-wire it to a live circuit with a switch and fuse. If you wanted to get fancy you could get a blower resistor pack from an old Brand X junker to have some control over the speed, or just put a suitable power resistor in series to drop the speed to a comfortable level.
I used to do a lot of "custom engineering" on old clunkers to keep 'em going, and with electrical faults it is frequently easiest to add a new circuit around the problem.
