So, previously I'd posted that I was having issues with the dash lights and tail lights intermittently cutting out on me, but the front headlamps would stay on.
The lights that were affected are the fog lights, front corner, and side marker lights, tail lights, and dash / radio illumination lights.
The head lights and brake lights, as well as the big red rear fog light all worked fine no matter what.
The break in the case occurred when I found a '95 9000 in the local junkyard, and I pulled it apart. I snagged the headlight rotary switch, and it's socket and a few inches of wiring as well.
It turns out for some bloody reason, my car has a couple of diodes on the green/red (position #6) wires coming out of the headlight switch socket. These were spliced in line with a couple of crimp on butt connectors each. On one of the wires (the thicker of the two), the butt joints looked burnt.
I cut out the diodes and soldered the wires back together, and bam! All the lights are back on, with no problems now!
I have no idea what possessed someone to want to splice the diodes in there in the first place, but I can only assume perhaps it was related to the (long non-functional) aftermarket alarm install.
