My heater core finally went on my 94 CS Turbo at 128K. Actually, the damn thing went 6 month earlier, but I was slow to figure it out. I kept looking for a coolant leak onto the passenger side floorboard. I looked, felt and tried to find some evidence of a leak. I did have to add coolant periodically, but I thought it might be the reservoir. yesterday I looked under the floor mat at it was like a swamp of coolant. Duh.
New heater core kit and blower motor ordered.
My question is: what is the best way to get the coolant out of the carpet? Wet / Dry vac? Shampoo?
Thanks for the advice.
