Removed the smaller bolt to the tensioner, checked condition of the O-ring and it looked fine. Noticed that the bolt had a small hole drilled in it passing thru to the bolt cavity that holds the spring. Right where the bolt shaft meets the head. Thought that kind of strange, however the rubber O ring should block that passage. Anyway put it all back together and retorqued to 16 ft. lbs and fired it up. Noted immediate oil seep around the small tensioner bolt. Shut it down and torqued it down tighter and restarted. Same result. Soon as the oil pressure builds it starts pissing oil.
Think I am going to order a OEM tensioner and give it a shot. Not impressed with the Scantech part.
Thanks
