IF? It is the balance teeth and IF? the rough running is related to that the chain has already skipped so the shafts are out of sync, you would be better off dropping the oil pan and cut off the chain and pull it out.
That way you at least stop the carnage. Otherwise you will keep shedding particles that will wear out pump and timing cover.
Unless you already have low oil pressure issues, you might get away using the old pump and such.
