I've gotten screwed twice in the last 6 weeks on bad parts. The first was a slave cylinder for the clutch from Pro Parts. They have re-engineered the thing and it seems to be about 1/4 inch taller than previously. The net result was that the clutch didn't engage all the way and I had to track down the original part (4904579) and pull the gearbox a second time.
The other situation was that I replaced the fuel pump 2 weeks ago (again, Pro Parts), and the car still started intermittently. I thought it was the relay, I thought it was the filter. Had to get the car towed to a shop and spent $$ getting the problem diagnosed. Turns out it was a bad fuel pump - right out of the box! If they can't sell reliable parts, what good are they?
