So what I found was that the intermediate drive shaft (from the donor... 91t manual) was too long and was hanging it up from down below. I removed it and the gearbox bolted right up! I decided to then go in from the PS wheel, remove the carrier/alternator bracket and try to put it all back together from that side. Since the IDS was still about 1 inch too long, I swapped in the original automatic IDS which fit both ends and allows everything to bolt together perfectly. So we'll see what happens. One of those little details that I wish i would have known on the front end. I've been at a dead end for weeks over this issue!
