As far I know and I have been with a 1992 SAAB 9000 since 1991, you can only reset the SRS with and ISAT or a TECH II diagnostic tool. I had a few problems with the SRS and every time I reset it, the light came back on. It was both the left and right harness female pins that plugs in the SRS sensors, the rubber weather protector was dry rotted. I replaced all the left and right female pins, reset the system and have not had a problem with it since. The ISAT was saying the sensor was bad, but was the bad female pins connecting to it and not the sensor.
You need to find a dealer with the proper diagnostic tool or purchase one your self. Remember if you adquiere a TECH II, you need the 44.00 Version Card and not the 148.00 for the 1994 SAAB´s.
Hope I gave you some worthy information for you to fix your SRS.
Jaime
