I installed ProParts hydraulic engine mounts a couple of years ago and after doing that felt more vibration at idle than I did with the collapsed original mounts. (Of course the original Hutchinson mounts are over $400 when you can find them, the ProParts around 1/10 that price.) If I had to do it over again I'd probably go with solid rubber rather than hydraulic.
An interesting hack that Walter Wong talked about in his July video was using rubber exhaust hangars to prop up collapsed engine mounts! (Who knows, might work better than ProParts.)
