New battery Posted by skibumm100 [Email] (#3255) [Profile/Gallery] (more from skibumm100) on Tue, 9 Nov 2021 07:17:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I stuck a new battery in my 96 Aero. What difference. The hesitation is gone. It's been doing that for a long time, especially when cold. Pretty bad flat spots in acceleration. The old battery tested OK, not great, when checked with a battery load tester. I put a Blain's Platinum in the 97 CSE my son has in WI because the old battery was iffy and he has zero mechanical ability. I put the same battery in my 96 Aero. 7 year pro-rated warranty and 3 year free replacement. Apparently Pep Boys is no longer selling car parts around here and only do service. They sold the parts business part of the store to Auto Value. I used to buy Bosch batteries from them since they carried a 36 month free replacement warranty. Too bad Interstate doesn't make the lead acid 34R battery anymore. I think the battery size I bought from Blain's was a 24FP. The terminals were in the correct location and the battery fits the tray.
