I have a .pdf of the 1994 9000 Electrical service manual. It shows hatch high mount brake lighting going through a connector designated H8-4. The location is described as 'adjacent to the left hand rear wheel housing'. I wonder if the options are to remove the headliner and interior and trunk panels vs simply splicing in the new wiring.
