Hello,
Yes you need to fix one of your current remotes. I know some years you could ground a pin at the alarm connector but I can't exactly remember as I haven't needed todo that for 15 years.I can't remember if that was 94 or 95 to 98. I seem to think it was 94 you were out of luck and the 95 and up you could ground the pin. It may have been the pin going to Trionic. It may have been that the theft unit just provided a ground signal to Trionic to let it start. Good Luck, Bernie
