Update...
I now feel like I have somehow magically exited the twilight zone !!
The owner's guide for my '97 Aero became reachable tonight & it got a good looking over.
The alarm section is fascinatingly different from my older Aero's guide as it has a 'glass breakage sensor'...Huh ?!?
I thought it would ONLY have the motion sensor, little did I know.
That mention also cites a tiny button on the dome light to deactivate it - so I did that.
The LED *did* flash as mentioned, and then, and then=>
I dared to fully lock the Aero, and the security LED, which had been schizophrenic before acted as I would expect, normally.
Stranger still - the driver's door lock switch operated the power locks instantly & normally.
A grain of truth here is that my Aero -does- have a sort of circular crack way over in the upper right which has stayed stable since I've had it & so it has just been ignored.
Could the electronic gadgetry somehow 'sense' that ?!?
No idea...BUT:
I'll not argue with success -IF- that is what normalizes things.
Now it is time to just watch over it & see what does follow.
