Sunroof Front Edge Flapping Posted by whereshaldo [Email] (#3318) [Profile/Gallery] (more from whereshaldo) on Mon, 29 May 2023 18:46:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've gone through all the posts I can find on sunroofs but none seem to mention the issue I'm having which is that the front edge of the sunroof flaps or flutters up and down when at highway speed. When its closed but the panel is open the front edge of the sunroof will move up and down at least 1/4 - 3/8 inch. Is there something i can do to tighten up the front edge of the sunroof? I am able to push it up and down fron inside. Or is this just becasue the seal is not sealing properly.
{UPDATE} FIXED! There are two pivot screws toward the front of the sunroof. You have to remove the 5 screws holding the plastic trim to the bottom and slide it back. Then tilting the back edge of the sunroof up you can replace them. They are 5mm screws and require a lock washer and a small fender washer to secure them.
