Old post....quick update....
Add one more 9000 Aero 5-spd to my quiver. I bought a minty-fresh, rust free Scarab Green Aero 5-spd in Portland, OR last year. It's got about 195k on the clock but it's in really nice shape. Road tripped it home to Michigan. Planning on road tripping it back to Portland for SOC 2024 and back home again. The Black 96 Aero 5-spd got wrecked by an uninsured driver last year. I swear my Aero's have a big red bullseye on them when I drive them. This one was totaled, too. I didn't carry collision or comp on it because it was a rust bucket. $0.00 for me. I still have the car and will bring it back if I can get a rear axle for it. If not, I'll part it out. So now I have (4) 9000's at the house plus an 02 9-5 Aero 5-spd. And we bought a 2023 Subaru Forester for my wife. Yes, it has all the dumb warning things on it. Every time I move over for a cyclist it complains. Sheesh. On a side note, I went to the Rust Belt GP at Gingerman Raceway last weekend and there was a 98 9000 CSE running in the Lemons race. I was able to help them out with a donated front wheel bearing I had at the house. They were able to finish the race on Sunday, but lost a couple hours at the end of the day on Saturday. They still ran over 500 miles. Props to them.
