I'm not sure. This stuff can be put on an left to cure, then drilled and tapped. You have to let it start to harden to get the right consistency, so it doesn't run out of position. You can also use it as glue, on the threads, around the sensor, or however. It costs under $5. I'm not familiar with the part/situation you are trying to fix, so I can't fill in much more info.
