Sounds like it could well be the oil pressure sender. It is located right above the filter so it would be easy to confuse a leak from the two. It's pretty easy to find as it's the only thing above/near the filter with a wire coming out of it. I can't tell you what size socket/wrench to use on it but it isn't anything wierd. The socket does have to be of the deep variety though. I believe there is a gasket/washer thing that is probably causing your leak. Just get a new one, unscrew the sensor, swap gaskets, and screw it back in.
