I've heard very good things about them, I'm going to buy one when my battery finally goes. It's a closed gel-cell type of battery with six seperate compartments and it's uneffected by vibration and doesn't out gass. It also doesn't leak hazardous goo and still works even if it's broken - I read of a magazine article where they tested it by shooting it a couple times with a rifle, and it still started the car. Correct fit for the 9000 is either the 800e or the 34r I think. Also provides a heck of a lot of juice, 800 or so CCA's. Downside is the price, 1 1/2 to 2 times the cost of a conventional battery, but they claim (and I've read anecdotal reports) that they last at least twice as long as a normal car battery. There should be somewhere near you that sells them, check optimabatteries.com. I've also seen a knockoff (licensed copy?) of them made by one of the major battery companies, can't seem to remember which though.
P.S. if anyone on the board is using one of these, would you care to give your impression?
