Hi
I recently bought a 1987 Saab 9000i 16 with Cat., non Turbo and I’m having a few electrical problems.
I’d appreciate some advice.
Problems are:
1) Cold starting – starts OK but won’t idle. (Don’t know whether this is electrical or not?).
2) Rev counter only works when the motor is cold. After about 5 mins of driving it starts flicking around and then drops to zero.
3) Heater fan makes a lot of noise but not moving any air. Big hassle at the moment with the first snows!
4) Wipers – intermittent died (slowly) the other day, now won’t go at all. Normal 1 and 2 speed go OK but the wipers won’t return home automatically.
5) Dash lights for heater controls, only work occasionally.
6) Front windows sometimes go up and down very slowly and I’ve had to replace this fuse.
7) Front personal reading lights only work occasionally.
8) Occasionally the brake light indicators on the dash will flash in time with the turn indicators but there’s nothing wrong that I can see?
That's all!!
Thanks heaps.
LOD.
