I've got the Hayes manual and I've never seen a true saab manual. I've begun the removal process opting for the bottom side removal method. I've got the left lower sub frame (and evertything it entails), the starter, and all the bolts around the bell housing off. I've placed a 2"x4" across the engine bay resting directly above the struts and chained the transmission eylet to it for support and a floor jack below. NOW, the transmission seems to be stuck to the engine! I've tried jacking it up some and letting it down to try to wiggle it loose, but the entire engine moves with it! I assume I must have missed something, but all the bell housing bolts are off including the 2 on the right side near the starter. There is a dust cover on the bottom of bell housing with a couple bolts in, I'll remove those to make sure they are not holding onto the engine. Any other suggestions?
FYI, I did check the linkage first since it came apart about 6 months ago when I lost 1st & 2nd. But it is OK, and yes reverse works.
