I've been doing alot of research into fitment of the 9K. I now have a set of 16 X 7.5" rims with a 30mm offset. I mounted Goodyear VR55's in a 205/55 on them and not interference problems yet. I got these on a deal as they only had 7 left at the factory. They are not extremely lightweight at 20 Ibs. but not overly portly compared to some.
Anyways, in my research I contacted Ronal like people have recommended. I liked the RT, LV, R7. A set of 4 is $750. http://www.ronalusa.com
I also contacted Panther wheels. Their fitments was the 082, 146 and the
157. The local rep gave me 2 other models but I did not get fitment info. These ran around $150 each. http://www.panther-wheels.com
One I came across is a new company called Quantum (http://www.qtalloys.com). They make a bolt pattern in all 4 styles they now carry and in a 21mm offset in a 7" pattern which would be within a mm interference of stock. Best of all they are cheap. Currently the only thing they have in stock is the S08. The local Les Shwab had 17X7's for $128. The only downside is they are on the heavy side.
Anyways, my Optimas will work for my 89 9KCDT. Optima does have fitment in a +35mm in a few wheels but the only size I saw were 17 X 7". http://www.optimawheel.com. It might be easier to ask for Mustang fitment!
