OK I did it in my 88 9000 turbo. It cost me $35. It came out mint. Just like factory. I even changed the color to a darker grey insted of the ugly white. I have black leather so it looks really good. i also painted the O-shit handels, the plastic piece where the sunroof override is and everything else that's on the ceiling. From white to black. that also came out good.

Ok it took me and a friend about 2 hour's to do. Taking it out was easy just be carefull not to brake the headliner board. I did. It's not easy to fix.
Things you need-
-3M high strength glue, comes in a can, cost about $10, get 3 cans. Home depot sells it.

-New head liner cloth. I got mine from a local fabric store. $12 for 7ftx4ft? i forgot. It was enough though. Take a meauserment.
The cloth i bought is smooth one direction and rough the other. You can get anything that you like.
Thats all you have to buy.

ok to remove the old headliner -.Take everything down from the headliner, handels, lights, sunvisors ect.... Then you have to remove the weather striping from the doors, it just peals off. then take off the trim on the left and right side of the front glass. then go to the back of the car open the hatch and there is going to be a long trim that's going from one side to the other, remove that. don't brake it. The remove the trim around the sunroof. The last thing is going to be a little plastic piece in above the back seat, middle. remove that. the it should fall down.
now with 2 people carefully slide it out throught the back. then lay it down and remove the old fabric. scrap the old padding off. i used a piece of sandpaper. clean it off really good. get the fabric start from one side. Lay down the fabric down over the board and then roll it up again. Leave your self about 3 feet. Fold that back and spray the board then spray the fabric. lay it down and strecth it out over the board, (2 people help) smooth it out with your hands. You only get one shot at it so make sure its right before you lay it down. then continue doing the same thing all the way to the end. work with small section's. don't rush.

when you get done with it go back and cut out all extra fabric. find the light hole ect.. cut them out. leave your self about a 1/8 of a inch. then spray the back side of the fabric then fold it over. same with the outside edge.

then put it back in :-)

the back panels next to the side windows can be done also. they come off. just pull gently. remove old fabric, scrap off padding, then lay fabric over it cut it then spray the panel and spray the fabric then lay it done over it. go back and cut extra fabric. the seat belts come out but when you take them out don't let them retrack all the way in. nothing but problems later on. If it does the only way to pull out the belt it to put it back in where it belongs. i think it pushes a pin and releses it.

make sure that all you weather striping is back on correct. I didn't and got a leak on my panles and they turned a funky color.

thats about it. i hope this helps. sorry if some things don't make sence.
Its very easy, i thought it was going to be very hard. but with 2 people it makes life alot eaiser. (-: enjoy and good luck (-:
