No Low Beams!

My 88 9000s all of a sudden has no low beams. Two days after I bought it the left low beam got weak and then went out and the right low beam did the same thing one or two days later. I bought new bulbs to no avail. I put new plugs in because I noticed a burned spot on the left one where the top center prong plugs in. Again no help. My mechanic replaced the relay and the high/low beam wand and it still isn't working....Any ideas....eric
