Depends on the noise. A dirty cabin air sensor makes a constant whining noise. If you're hearing a servo-like noise from behind the center of the dashboard, that's the ACC adjusting the heat. It uses a servo (the mechanical sound you hear) to adjust a flap that directs more or less air over the heater core.
Sometimes the ACC is just more active than others, and some cars are noiser than others. My wife calls one of our 9000's 'Darth', as in Darth Vader, for the ominous servoing sounds from behind the dash. I hate to say this, but those are pretty much normal.
