Bars Leaks

Usually, I strongly dislike products like Bars Leaks, and generally prefer to fix things properly. I'd never dream of puting BL in my 900.
However, after many recommendations on this BB, I decided to use it on my 9k's heater core. It worked. Fixed the leak totally in about 2-3 weeks. Saved me a load of work and money.
I've had no adverse effects (6000 miles later). Still no leak.
Some say it can block up your rad. I can't see how this would happen, unless your rad is partly blocked anyway. Others say that is used by many manufacturers on new cars. I've yet to see a brand new car with gunk in the coolant tank.
But I'm still not 100% satisfied with it as a solution. It's a medium-term temporary fix at best.
So, if you want to do it right, and can spare the time and money, get your core replaced. If you want to do it quick and cheap, flush your system, and add a bottle of BL when you refill.
