In the usual places? like the leading edge/low on each door? For some reason this is a nasty spot on 9000's. My son's '87 and my '90 both have the rust there. I removed the rubber plug/deflector in the rear of the front fender just ahead of the front door/bottom. I don't know what it does but My car was all plugged with crud there when I got it, and try as I did to keep it clean, it had a tendency to fill up with road dirt.
As far as the rust goes , I did the big NO-NO ( Bondo) but it will at least slow it down until I can do better or have it done. Paint matching is tough on Saabs unless you purchase real stuff from an automotive paint store. I was lucky enought to get a real close match to the navy blue on my '90. (not perfect, but hard to see unless you study it).
What year is your 9k? Newer ones are worth the expense of Professional repair, my '90 is marginal for several reasons. Age ,Trans.,Milage just for starters.
