I have a -92 9k CS with 180kkm and I'm running the third timing chain !
First time, at 80 kkm, the chain broke engine running and a very expensive repair was made.
The second time I noticed some vibration starting from 2800 rpm. I opened the chain cover and replaced the chains myself.
One of the balance shaft sprockets was worn out, balance shaft chain had stretched and tensioner was at the limit. I heard that this yearmodel has problems with heat treatment of the sprrockets. I suppose the balance shaft chain breaks and destroys the timing chain.
