However, the only sacrifice that comes with this tire is a somewhat high amount of noise (ok with my stereo), and of course the usual item that has already been mentioned several times, that they probably suck in snow and ice. Excellent in the rain and superb in the dry though! Great feel and immediate response. $57, how can you beat it?! And that is the price at my local Discount tire, no shipping to add on.

I can't really say for sure how good the ride is, as my Monroe sensa-crap shocks and struts have given me a hard ride for at least the past year or two no matter what the tire. Finally getting the things replaced in two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe it has been over three months since I've been to the shop (barely).

I also have never heard of a Pirelli 8000, though Dunlop was the only one who made an 8000 tire....but could easily be wrong, I know they both have made a tire with 4000 in the name, and come to think of it, I have owned them both!

I also can concur that the P6000 is a great tire, though I suspect the P7000 is even better, from the comments I've heard. If you go P6000, definitely do NOT get the Sport Veloce, get the regular P6000. The Sport Veloce is good at many things, master of none. Actually I should really say average at many things...that is to say satisfactory. But with the recent less expensive competition, I think it's outdated already.
