Yes. Nothing special needed, but much must be removed. Engine is easily supported from above by lumber across the hood opening and chain, say to the engine lift eye. An additional lifting/holding/lowering arrangement is useful for the transmission itself, which can be lowered to the ground after left subframe is removed. I also fint it useful to tie a line around the starter (and fasten it somewhere in the throttle cable area) before removing the starter bolts. You might also consider replacing the crankcase oil seal if you feel comfortable doing that without the special tool. Some might even recommend replacing the clutch slave while you are in there.
