Real common problem in the cold. What's happened is that you've got some moisture in there, and it freezes up. The latch just doens't spring back, so when you close the door, it just bounces back into traffic.
If you have the option, park your car with that door in the sun during the day, and that should help dry it out. If first thing in the morning, all I can suggest is playing a hair dryer on the door latch mechanism until it frees up. If it persists, lubricate with a dry lube, or one of those spray lubricants that evaporate and leave a dry lube behind. For this, you'll need to remove the door panel. I would try and get the door latches nice and warm and that should drive out the moisture.
