I was under my '88 9kt the other day, and noticed that there is noticeable play in the control arms. I was wondering if it's difficult to replace the bushings and bearings. I have a parts reference manual, but the Haynes manual says nothing about this type of maintenance.

If anyone has ever replaced them, se let me know- or if anyone knows how to do it. It seems pretty straightforward- but with saabs, "straightforward" is not the word I'd usually associate with repair.

1) Are the bolts hard to get off (and what can I use if they are)?

2) How much are the parts?

3) There anything else I should look at when I'm in there?

4) Do I use any kind of threadlocker or lube in the process?

I'd really love any other hints that you gurus may have out there. Feel free to email me. Happy driving-
