the brakes are self adjusting but require proper adjustment at pad changes. I assume you wish to adjust your hand brake manually. There is a procedure for doing an amount of adjustment at the rear wheels-usually at time of installing new pads. This involves adjusting the piston stop bolt and taking up the slack in the cable actuator/piston gap. This is the major adjustment. Very seldom is adjustment required at the console.
On the sun roof: apparently something has happened to the timing of your motor/cable mechanism or the mechanism itself or you have dirty limit switches. The motor turns through a specific rotation and shuts down upon closing, same upon on opening, controlled by limit switches and relay. To re-adjust it requires removal of the motor, locking the sun roof in a specific location. (closed) A set of special tools (82 92 500) is inserted both sides. (these can be fashioned in the shop if you are well versed with the positions, but it is tricky to pick up all parts. motor is run to the full closed position and reinstalled onto the cables. This is an adjustment that seldom is required so inspect the rails and cables carefully before trying a rigging procedure. This is also a great time to lubricate the mechanism. If it tilts well and operates well otherwise then I suspect you could have a limit switch problem. I have seen the position Switches on the cam become fouled and create a symptom as you describe. This requires removal of the motor and cleaning or replacing of the switches.
