now that I know you have a 92TSA thing are a little different. Disregard all wire and pin info prior to this. your car is a little different From the Tach generator the positive wire is lage black and negative is large white. no pins info is shown at the speedo so I must assume it is hard wired, on the info out side pin 1 is Green/white and comes from the 30 buss(ignition switch, pin 15) info out is as follows Pin 2(no color, but could be large white goes to information junction for following: DI/APC,ECU for ETS, Fuel system Info, EDU, DCC/SCC, and cruise module. Pin 3 is black to ground.
The Tach generator generates 2458 pulses per klik with standard tires. and if I remember correctly that is 480 revs per klik with - 7 tire/wheel sets.
Glad to see you have the 92 TSA. I brought one of those back to US from Europe and was eating Aeros alive until they figured it out. Had a little problem getting it serviced properly here at first until Saab introduced the software for that version. Did you get the GM 402 or 404 box? and are you running the -7 tire configuration? Hope this helps you out. I still believe the signal from the generator may be AC and the polarity is just to confuse the issue. maybe not though.
