Hard to start+rough idle when hot?

It is 93 9kt 2.0 16v. New DI, thermostat, filters, fan switch, coolant (bar's leak), plugs, etc.
No problem at all when cold and warm. But when hot (temp. meter stays at 1/2 level), idle is not smooth. It tends to hesitate for a split of a second and then go back to normal. This happens when I am in stop-and-go traffic.
Also, after fully warming up, if I park the car for 30 mintues (stopping the engine), it is rather difficult to start the engine (need two to three time of cranking).
I am puzzled by the fact that hot temperature makes the idle and starting more difficult. Might it be that the ignition system hates high temperature?
One suspect I have is the gap of the plug. They are now 0.9mm (0.035in). But mine is a 2.0 engine, so that it might only require 0.8+-0.1 mm gap.
Thanks for comments. This puzzle being solved, my SAAB will be much more lovely.
