There aren't any specific apparent faults with these cars. The weakest link seems to be the ZF autobox. next would be turbo controlls then DIs. All of these can be well managed if you are keen as to their health maintenance. The 900 is a fun car to drive the 9000 is a fine driving automobile. I don't know how better to say it. You will surely enjoy the additional room, visibility and comfort. Basicly the 9000 is just a bigger Saab. It may have a few more quirks than your 900 because of the systems controlled by processors but looking for problems usually will turn up a few. Study the past service records see what kind of maintenabnce has been performed, if it is good, that is an indication of the basic condition of the car. 5500 seems like it could be a good deal for a car with less than 95K miles and is clean. My Opinion only
