Brembo or OEM rotors should work fine. You have to make sure that the mating surfaces at the hub and on the inside of the hat of the rotor are clean and smooth. Any grit or crud at that mating surface can cause run-out. I have also heard, and perhaps encountered it once on a Porsche, that even lug torque is critical especially with vented rotors which, in theory, tend to warp much easier. Finally and as the instructions say, take it easy til you break in both the rotors and pads. I warped a set of rotors on a brand new VW once, by running the mountains hard in the first 200 miles that I had the thing.
I put Brembos on my '96 9K just about 5000kms ago, broke them in easy, and they have been perfect ever since. And they have been used hard since the break-in period.
