jason, my advice, let the bodyman handle it. he's right. i've worked in a bodyshop as an apprentice once just to obtain some knowledge of this area. though i'm a service tech now. first the old door skin needs to be cut out. then the new skin welded in place on the door frame. next they will prime the door with the proper solvents and primer, and using the paint code, mix and closely duplicate the original paint. then blend it in to match. remember the old paint has probably lost some luster and pigment due to the elements.
