The shop that replaced both my cv axles yesterday messed up and destroyed the drivers side seal between the axle and the tranny.
So I get my tranny dropped, by the local saab indy, for free to replace the seal. What else should I have them do? As far as I can tell the tranny was rebuilt 100,000 miles ago. I have no problem with the shifting or the syncros. Could I make a clean switch to saab synthetic with the tranny out? What about other gaskets, seals, etc...?
