205/55R16's minus size to 195/65R15 or 205/60R15 - either is acceptable & available pre-mounted/balanced on steel wheels for your car (though if you want nicer looking SPG alloys, only 1988 & newer will fit. Contact various
bone yards (those specializing in Saab's are more likely to know what SPG rims are - try http://www.saabsavior.com) Be carefull about purchasing un-mounted
tires mail order & taking them somewhere to have em' mounted on your rims,
most places either won't do it or will spank you on mounting & balancing charges. Pre-mounted wheel packages are relatively inexpensive (esp. @TR),
Gislavid Nord. Frost, Bgst. Blizak, Yoko. Guardex, Dnlp. Graspic -- Dnlp's
have a different tread between the two aforementioned sizes - pick the one you like. If you decide on the used SPG rims,... get em' & take the TR Ad
to a local tire dealer, and WHILE BEING POLITE, work out a price about $15
or so per tire over the mail order price - thats fair & the local guy will still make a decient profit on the labor & get valuable business that his
competition did'nt, which looks good on his quartly review, which gets him promoted a better position in the company, which pays more, enabling him to pay off the car loan on his 1984 GM POS. Isn't retail wonderfull? HA HA!
